SUBJECT: COMELEC RESOLUTION NO.9601- GUN BAN EXEMPTION Be informed that during the gun ban period from January 13,2013 until June 12, 2013 due to the upcoming national election, the COMELEC (Commission on Election) has issued an EXEMPTION allowing firearm manufacturers, importers, exporters and dealers to continue business as usual. We can still sell firearms and other sporting/defense goods in the same process but with issuance of transport permits and license cards from COMELEC. Processing of renewal of license is allowed but processing of PTC (permit to carry) is temporally suspended this time.
